I’m back! It feels so good to be back in this space after taking a year away.

If you’re new here, welcome! If you’ve been here for a while, welcome back! I started blogging about 10 years ago now, and in those 10 years a lot has changed.

I’ve graduated college, got married, moved a couple times, bought a house, travelled, the list goes on and on. I’m so thankful for the beautiful life God has blessed me with! Since so much has changed over the years I felt like I owed it to myself to take a step back from CamilleLove Blog. In that time I made the decision to rebrand/rename my blog to better fit my life and the woman I am now.

Lauren’s Life may be my new blog name, but CamilleLove Blog will always hold a special place in my heart!

Get to know me

In the spirit of rebranding, I thought it would be fun to introduce/reintroduce myself and share some fun facts that some of you may not know. Let’s go!

1. Growing up I wanted to work for ESPN. I love everything about watching (notice how I didn’t say playing) sports. I am also a HUGE Tom Brady fan and the best sports duo to ever live is Tom Brady and Randy Moss. Just saying!
2. I am the eldest daughter of the family and I definitely act like it, but it’s fun. I can’t imagine being a younger sibling. #oldestsiblingsrule
3. I really enjoy reading. I have a booktok and bookstagram account. I’m also on Goodreads, but in the process of switching over to Story Graph. Story Graph looks so much cooler, so you’ll find me there in 2025, once I get a chance to sit down and make the switch! This year I set a reading goal of 50 books and I am now at book number 73, so yeah, next year I’m raising it. I’ll be sure to share book reviews with you all!
4. I love Jesus :)!! I read through the entire Bible, for the first time, in 2023. That was one of the only New Years resolutions I’ve made that I actually stuck with. After doing that I came to the conclusion that the story of Ruth is my favorite!
5. My favorite color is pink, but I also love baby blue. I kind of wish I could mix those colors somehow.
6. My dream is to one day visit the French Alps and run through a field with my husband, like Maria did in The Sound of Music. I also want to visit the mansion where it was filmed. Basically, I love The Sound of Music and Julie Andrews is an icon. When I got married I made sure I had a cathedral veil because that’s what Maria wore when she got married.
7. I love to bake! So, stay tuned for some fun recipes.
8. The glass is always half full. It just is!
9. My husband and I have an obsession with tacos and basketball. Every time we travel we have to go to an NBA game and try tacos in that city. So far New Orleans (other than Chicago) has the best tacos! As for the NBA game we’ve enjoyed the most, I’d have to say the Celtics vs. Knicks game we attended in Boston. Boston fans are so much fun and we love Boston as a city, so it only makes sense!
10. I sing (soprano!!!), play the piano and guitar (really making a point to play more in 2025), and enjoy staying active (in the gym, at home, etc.).
